Retro Photoshoot Fun with Emma B Photography {Part 3 - The Final Instalment}

So here it is, the final instalment from my first photoshoot.

With so much going on recently I haven't had chance to do any sneak peeks OR blog the last section, however, I can now show you the last section of the fab fun retro photoshoot with Emma B Photography.

I loved looking back through these photos. Memories of the day came flooding back and a sense of achievement that the day had gone so well and the beautiful images that came from it. Despite the shoot being postponed a week due to bad weather, it still went really well and my only regret is that we didn't have more time!

"Following the delicious picnic delights, it was time to journey home through the delightful village of Croston..."

One of my favourite shots - sisterly love!

Another cheeky shot of Matt

"As the evening drew in, the sisters reflected on the 1980's day out and all the fun they had enjoyed throughout."

And here's the tribute the beautiful car that inspired this shoot...

Finally I'd like to say a HUGE thanks to the people who made this shoot possibly:

The ultimate thanks goes to Emma Billsborough from Emma B Photography without whom this shoot would not have happened. She lent us props, her house to get changed in, her time, her fabulous images and most of all, her friendship and amazing talent!

Love and hugs to Beth Soothill, without whom some of these shots would not have been possible. Not only is she a promising future model but a wonderful sister and we had a great time posing and creating this shoot.

Finally, to Matt without whom we wouldn't have had the sexy little car that inspired this retro photoshoot and lots of fun, plus I have to say that he is a loving and very patient boyfriend for coming along with us (not to mention driving us to different locations!)

Well, that's it. My very first photoshoot blogged!

I have really enjoyed doing this and was feeling slightly emotional whilst typing this up.... then I remembered that I will have some more stunning images from another photoshoot - Fairy-Inspired Bridal Supplier Photoshoot.

Together with Emma B Photography and Joanne Spencer Photography, the Lancashire & North West talents of Glamour Bridal & Prom, WrapOr Shrug, Love Bouquets and Rachael McNeela were brought together in this fairy inspired shoot, modelled by Nikki Moore and Lizz Hardiker. I leave you with the {sneak peeks} to whet your appetite and get you as excited for more pics as I am...

My Tweet Up Experience

On Tuesday night I went to my second Brides Up North Tweet Up, hosted by the wonderful Julia!
And no, you didn't mis-read it, I have been to two of the three Tweep Ups!

When I went the the North West event at Didsbury House, I was so nervous as I had only launched as a business just a week before! However I met some *lovely* people and had a fabulous time.

You can  check out the pictures, done by the talented Jenny & Keith McAvoy, on Julia's Brides Up North Blog here.
You can also check out the fabulous filming by Charlene from Love Gets Sweeter, with whom I am pictured below. She did the official North West Tweet Up movie that can be seen here.

Me and Charlene at North West Tweet Up in Didsbury House
I set off from Preston at 3pm with it in mind to arrive 2 hours before the start so I could relax and grab a bite to eat (with having an hour and a half drive home afterwards, canapes and sweets just weren't going to be enough!)

My advance planning paid off (well, I am in the planning business!) and I missed all the traffic. After slapping on a bit of make-up and relaxing over food and a pint of coke at The RoundHay Fox just down the road, I made my way to the stunning The Mansion, where our Tweet Up was being held.

Being the organised person I am, I gave myself plenty of time to meander around the park that surrounds this stunning venue snapping some pictures so I could share them with you.

As I was happily snapping away, I noticed the eye-catching decor that adorned the front entrance, as well as the fact there were already people milling around inside. That is when I made my entrance.
I must tell you that I was the first person to arrive at the NW Tweet Up besides the people who were helping with the venue when I arrived a few minutes before the start, this time there must have already been 10 people ahead of me... and I was 15 minutes early!

One of the gorgeous displays from Stems Design

Thanks to the work of Vintage Twee, Perfect Days Vintage, The Whimsical Cake Company and Stems Design, and Julia of course, the venue looked breathtaking. Andy and Matt from Greyeye Photography were snapping away, The Dotted Crotchets were playing beautifully at the other end of the room, Sean Elliott Photography had a great set up in the entrance doing some great snaps of the guests that could be printed out on site and Dream Booth were set up near The Dotted Crotchets, props and all.

The sweet table looked scrummy and I wanted to get stuck into them straight away but I held back until other guests started and joined in. There were also some delightful mini-cakes and cakepops, which were covered in pink chocolate and edible glitter, crafted by The Whimsical Cake Company - and they were a cakepop party in your mouth. Highly recommended! (I was too busy munching away to take a pic and by the time I thought about it, they were all gone!)

The hosts at The Mansion were gracious and attentive and I felt well look after. The staff were knowledgeable in the venue when I grilled them on the photos on the wall and were pleasant whilst not being intrusive.

I met some wonderful people at the Tweet Up and I also met some Twitter people I have been wanting to meet for ages. I loved every minute, and when 10pm came and went, I was still chatting away - I genuinely felt there were more wonderful people I could have met - still networking with people as they were trying to get out to go home!

As I set off on my long journey home, I was smiling a very tired smile and thinking of the nights events, all the way down all the M62, M60, M6......
Photo Booth fun with Ian from Ian Martindale Photography and Joanne from Vintage Twee
If you didn't get chance to go to a Tweet Up this time, don't dispare as Julia is holding more in the future. You can pre-register for the next North West on on here blog here.

There are so many people I met that I won't have chance to mention all. I hope to meet more of you at the next lot of Tweet Ups, for now check out the wonderful sites of those I have already met at this fantastic networking opportunity:
